Perhaps you've heard that Lauren Conrad + her team have created an internet beauty hub called The Beauty Department?  I've most enjoyed the hair tutorials.  This one in particular because 1. my hair is silly long 2. its silly humid and 3. the husband officially banned the infamous top bun. (guilty.)

I'm publically confessing to my little crush on Blair Eadie, better known by her initials BEE. She is my favorite fashion blogger, hands down. Besides being proficient in layers, patterns and matters of style, she's just plain adorable. Plus she's got killer legs.

I'd give my eye teeth for her wardrobe. And then some.

CQ turns 1

A year ago today I published my very first post on close quarters. Most people assume that when you get married you should immediately have a baby. I decided to start a blog instead.

What's next for cq? A few things actually. For starters, I'm treating it to a little birthday face lift so be on the lookout for some changes in the coming weeks! And that's only the beginning...

It's been a joy ride of a first year. I've learned a lot and love doing it. Thanks for reading :)
